Flowers, Flowers…and More Flowers! #156… A Sassy Challenge

Sassy Cheryl's, Have You Heard, Kool Tak, Memory Box

One of the sassiest gals and uber talented Pat, is our hostess this week for our Sassy Challenge.

She’s chosen…………

FLOWERS, FLOWERS EVERYWHERE!

I don’t know about where you live, but here it’s still pretty cold and bleak… no flowers yet! In fact we’re under a Winter Storm Warning!!
This was a very welcome challenge indeed!

It’s been a while since I’ve shown you some of the steps I went through making my card, and since this one took a ‘little’ more time than most, I decided to do just that!

I LOOOOOVE how it turned out!
{right-clicking on a picture will bring it up larger in another window for your viewing pleasure}

This is one of the newer Sally’s, Have You Heard. She’s cute as a button alone with her single flower and ladybug friends.. I just added a few more flowers! She’s colored with Copics, clouds sponged with my homemade cloud template. {each of the individual flowers are colored, not colored cardstock!}

These are how I colored some of the Martha Stewart Hydrangea punched flowers.

And, using my embossing stylus on a piece of foam, I gave them some dimension.

The colors I used

After punching and die cutting a gazillion flowers and a few leaves, fence and birds, using mostly Memory Box dies: Cherry Blossom, Tulip Petals, Spring Border, Grassland Border, Estate Fence and Nestled Bird….and sponging my clouds… I had fun putting Sally in place and gluing all the flowers around her!

#156-flat

Hand deliverable for sure, didn’t want to crush any!

I also have some new product to share, Kool Tak. Do you ever work with teensy pieces and wish you had an easy tool to just pick them up??!! Or some type of adhesive to adhere the really thin stuff?!

How about a Pick’n Place Pencil and
Micro Adhesive Dotted Sheets!

Pick'n Place Pencil, Kool Tak

It’s sticky yet NOT sticky! Magic! LOL… it’s called Pick’n Place Pencil from Kool Tak. It’s a soft lead, so you don’t press too hard (ask me how I know!), it really is cool!

I used the Micro Adhesive Dotted Sheets on the fence, a little tricky, but that fence is going nowhere! I also used 1/8” Foam Pads to pop up Sally and one of the birds.

Flowers on the inside too! This is the same die behind Sally, but it’s hard to see for all the other flowers!

And one last shot… just because! I’ve been wanting to use my new frame brushes on something!!!
