Don't LOOK Becky!

f4a24 blk

The Champaign County Fair starts TODAY, so I'm gonna be one busy girl for the next week! Tomorrow the llamas get taken in, then our show is on Thursday...and on Friday I head down to Cincy for Stampaway!! Woohoo!!

So, not sure just how many
blog posts
I'll get done during the week,
but hope to get a couple up
to show the
FUN of fair week!

Odd title, I know...

but I needed a thank you card for our judge that will be doing our show, and since she's already gotten one of my llama thank you's (from State Fair) I thought I'd just do something different! The challenge today on Splitcoast was perfect... make a card with something from your garden.
And...since she sees my posts from time to time... Just ACT surprised when you get this Beck!

f4a24 clsup I wish I had this many Sunflowers!! But I do have lots of Chicory and see lots of butterflies! I used 2 new sets from Our Daily Bread designs, Harvest Blessings (sunflowers) and Don't Worry (butterfly & chicory). The TY is from The Living Bread set, I only partially inked up the sentiment.

f4a24 ty I stamped the Chicory first, masking as I went along, then stamped the Sunflowers...masking them to add a couple more on the end. They're colored with Copics, masked and sponged the background with Distress inks Tumbled Glass (cloud template) and Forest Moss.

The butterfly was colored with Copics, white accents with Sakura gel pen, then inked with Versamark and clear embossed. This really pops the colors and makes cutting out easy!

LOL...on top of Fair week,
I'm sure I'll be dealing with garden veggies too...........................NO rest for the weary!

I added another card to this post after getting HAPPY MAIL today! Kelley got several dies made just like the new images! Can you believe that!! It's so COOL, super quick to make a card...WoW!! I used the Large Sunflower Die that was introduced at CHA last month.

f4a blessings die clsup

I cut 2 colored cardstock, one for the flowers and one for the leaves/stems and just trimmed the extra away so it would fit together. Before gluing the stems to the flowers, I inked up the image and laid if ink side up and carefully put the die cuts over and pressed. Then all I had to do was color the sunflower centers. Super duper fast!

Here is how the die would
work if you stamped first...
either way, quick and easy!!

Directions for use:
1. Stamp image and color as desired.
2. Place Alignment Tool over the stamped image, lining it up with the stamped image outline.
3. Make a pencil mark into each Alignment Guide hole and than remove.
4. Place the die over the image and line up the pencil holes inside the die holes.
5. Use a few pieces of tape to hold the die in place.
6. Run the die through your cutting machine to cut out the image

Thanks for stopping!

Check out today's post on my blog for another State Fair (NJ) victory celebration! The card I CASEd from you won first place, although I still think yours is the most beautiful card I've ever seen!

wow...wow....wow.....your sunflowers are beautiful....too bad you aren't around here....we have a farm (or did I tell you this already) that grows fields of sunflowers for Make a Wish....and YOU captured their beauty

by the way this year they made over 100,000 dollars selling the sunflowers and giving 'sunflower' rides through the fields...they even had sunflower ice cream
