Happy Memorial Day! and Challenge Chicks

Flag waving smiley Freedom's Colors
©2002 Roger W Hancock (www.PoetPatriot.com)
Red is for Bravery;
blood shed in sacrifice.
Freedom came with lives the price.
White is for Liberty;
freedom's purity.
Life be free from God's decree.
Blue is for Justice;
as vast as the sky.
Over freedom's land to occupy

If It Doesn't Move....It Could Get Altered!
The challenge for us Chicks this week was to alter something. Now, it's always fun to do an altered project....BUT.... some of us used a new item developed by CHF!! This is a FIRST for the industry! How exciting is that! (the Canadian girls don't always get their new toys as fast, so might not have a sample for you today...be patient though *wink*)

They're called Scrapblocks™...get this... 6"x6" of pattern! The possibilities are endless as to what you could do with these!
Don't just think scrapbooking *wink*

Be sure to check out all the other girl's blogs too to see their fabulous altered projects. **again, not all the girls might have used a Scrapblock™ this time around, but be sure to keep watching because they have some fantabulous ideas!!

One day last week, Mona uploaded a card with shrink plastic...the wheels started turning....yes, there was smoke!...I stamped the 6x6 Writing Paper Scrapblock™ on shrink plastic, added the words and images and shrunk it!
I maybe should have baked it, but used the heat tool.
Pindots Scrapblock™ is under the Writing Paper Backgrounder.

This is a patriotic box I picked up at my local grocery/super store. All I did was add the Pindots Scrapblock™, and decorate the top with some Kim Hughes!
The Freedom tag is faux metal, 5 layers of Silver Dollar EP and while still hot I stamped Freedom. Pretty cool huh!

I love the bucket from Wally World that you decorated. I am trying to decide if I should store my new prisma color colored pencils in the storage tin or put them on the table so they are more convenient to use. The bucket would work real well and look cute.
