Just Having Fun

*gasp*...this is the first chance I've gotten to ink it up! I ended up making it work for the Color Challenge on SCS too, teehee.
Colored with Copic markers and accented with white gel pen (the flowers along the edge of the sidewalk, tree, bushes, flowers in the bushes and stars & stripes on the flag)

The double ended tag is edged with a Krylon gold leaf pen. I colored the brads with it too! Those pens are just too fun! I just love all the new sentiments Lisa Strahl (Mona Lisa) is developing, this one from Friend Centers.
The base of the card is stamped with the new Pin Dot Scrapblock™ which is 6x6, my card is 5.25x4.75 so a normal background would be a tad short. I already have more on my wish list and Mona's mind is working overtime thinking up new images!!

Happy Memorial Day! and Challenge Chicks
©2002 Roger W Hancock (www.PoetPatriot.com)
Red is for Bravery;
blood shed in sacrifice.
Freedom came with lives the price.
White is for Liberty;
freedom's purity.
Life be free from God's decree.
Blue is for Justice;
as vast as the sky.
Over freedom's land to occupy.
If It Doesn't Move....It Could Get Altered!
The challenge for us Chicks this week was to alter something. Now, it's always fun to do an altered project....BUT.... some of us used a new item developed by CHF!! This is a FIRST for the industry! How exciting is that! (the Canadian girls don't always get their new toys as fast, so might not have a sample for you today...be patient though *wink*)
They're called Scrapblocks™...get this... 6"x6" of pattern! The possibilities are endless as to what you could do with these!
Don't just think scrapbooking *wink*
Be sure to check out all the other girl's blogs too to see their fabulous altered projects. **again, not all the girls might have used a Scrapblock™ this time around, but be sure to keep watching because they have some fantabulous ideas!!

One day last week, Mona uploaded a card with shrink plastic...the wheels started turning....yes, there was smoke!...I stamped the 6x6 Writing Paper Scrapblock™ on shrink plastic, added the words and images and shrunk it!
I maybe should have baked it, but used the heat tool.
Pindots Scrapblock™ is under the Writing Paper Backgrounder.

This is a patriotic box I picked up at my local grocery/super store. All I did was add the Pindots Scrapblock™, and decorate the top with some Kim Hughes!
The Freedom tag is faux metal, 5 layers of Silver Dollar EP and while still hot I stamped Freedom. Pretty cool huh!
