Splitcoast Sketch Challenge

What fun I had with the Sketch Challenge today on Splitcoast!
I think it was because
1. It was a great sketch!
2. It wasn't a Christmas/Winter card
3. I just love these fish from Rubbernecker!

I have to start by telling you what the main image is on.

I have a 23yo son that always smells sooooo good! He takes after his mother and maternal grandmother in that he likes good cologne.

The other day he had the audacity to throw something away that I thought useful! Lucky I came along when I did!! In the trash I found these Abercrombie & Fitch cologne test papers! They're about the weight of good watercolor paper and have almost a 'pinwale corduroy' look to them.

I stamped the image in Stazon black and watercolored with Adirondack Earthtone reinkers using a waterbrush. For the bubbles I used Ranger Glossy Accents. You might not be able to see in the picture, but I used a Sakura stardust gel pen on the squiggly lines.

All layers are faux'd using a sharpie marker and ruler.

A coat of versamark and clear embossing powder finished off my main panel.

The second panel is also watercolored with reinkers.

I sponged Adirondack Earthtone stream around the DCWV dp so it would blend in better.

The base of the card is plain old Georgia Pacific cardstock from SAMS (99% of what I use!) that was sponged with stream.

I love this card! The colours are wonderful and the "fish" line is so cute. Thanks so much for adding a picture of some of the supplies that you used as well as a link to where we can find the products.

Wow!! Not only do I LOVE fish stamps, your faux layers are incredible!! I am tending to really like faux layers because then cards are easier to send. Many a times have I tried to squeeze a pretty layered card into an envelope and it was a very tight fit! What a great challenge :)
