Jacksonbelle.....Down to Our Last Goodbye

Jun29 blk

What can I tell her
That I haven't told her
That would change her mind
Cause she heard that line before
Now all that's left for me
Is just the memory of all
Those happy days gone by
Now we're down to our last goodbye

Well, this is it, Lindsey known to many as Jacksonbelle is closing her cyber doors. *sniff sniff* I got to meet Linds several years ago, what a sweetheart. I wish her the very best in whatever the future holds for her!

Many of you might also know she is a Willie Nelson lover!! LOL
Us girls on the DT have said our "goodbyes", sent cyber hugs, and now we're here at our last blog post! So, I found this song by Willie. and took this part...HUGS LINDS!!!

Jun29She still has some items left in the store at 75% off.

I used this Flutter DP by Making Memories. The image is a digi from Sassy Cheryl's, I Pledge Allegiance. It's colored with Copics and sponged with Distress ink. For the pink nestie layer, I used my craft knife and carefully cut around the die then colored the edges with a Copic to match. The out-of-the-box flag is popped up on a foam dimensional.

Please stop by and leave some love for the girls...we could all use a hug!

Jacksonbelle 75% off and a Sneaky Peek!

Jbelle Jn 22 blk

You read that right! 75% off everything in the store. Lindsey will close her cyber door June 30.

We're still showcasing our favorite products, today I'm using Basic Grey.

Jbelle Jn22 Life is SimpleThis a new set called Wonders of Nature, being released from Innovative Stamp Creations this week! It's colored with Prismacolor pencils blended with OMS. There is a little Copic on the flowers and small leaves.

Jbelle Jn 22 clsup I split up the sentiment for the 3 blocks and sponged Distress ink (Wild Honey) while still in the die.

Sassy Flowers & Jbelle Tuesday!

June15 blk

Making our own flowers...that's our Sassy Cheryl's Challenge for today! You should play along with us...just use a Sassy Cheryl's digi and link to the challenge blog. You could win a $5 gift certificate ya know!

June15I used Triple Star Bear and colored her with Copics. I sponged the edges with Distress inks. The stars have Sakura glitter pen on them and she has a few white gel pen accents.

June15 clsupThat sweet paper is My Mind's Eye from Jacksonbelle Embellishments. Don't forget, Jbelle is closing her virtual doors and right now everything....EVERYTHING is 50% off!
Through the month of June the
Jbelle Rockstars are using their favorite products.

June15 SB I used these 3 Spellbinders dies for my flower, one piece each. This is the flip side of the plaid.
*cheater tip* I cut the "flower" out of the plaid layer..the Top Note layer hides the holes and saves cutting into another piece of paper!
June15 flower pcsI cut a wedge out of each of the 3 pieces, sponged the edges with Distress ink, then snipped down between scallops. (I thought of taking the picture AFTER they were glued together! duh..., but you'll get the idea). I snipped off the pointy bottoms too, and curled the petals with my fingernail.
The cut out wedges end up being the flower center.
Just nest the layers, largest to smallest, gluing as you go along.

June15 flowerI added some Martha Stewart punched leaves that I ran through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder...just because.

Summer Time! YIPPEE!!! A Triple Combo

Jun8 go girl blk

We're still featuring our faves over at
Jbelle Embellishments
and don't forget to stop by the
store where everything is 40% off!

Our Sassy Cheryl's challenge #15 is to emboss any old way.

AND....

I also did the challenge for Paper Sundaes, make a Summer card.

Jun8 go girl

That yummy paper is My Mind's Eye, Flutter. I'm eeking out what I have left till my package arrives from Jacksonbelle Embellishments!
I bet it comes today!!

This is one of Sassy Cheryl's new releases, No More School. Oh boy, do I ever remember those days as a kid!

She's colored mostly with Prismacolor pencils blended with OMS, masked and airbrushed with the Copic ABS. Her skin is about the only Copic used on the image, the rest is the pencils. The background is embossed with the Textile folder.

Jun8 go girl glassesl

I used my Marvy wet markers on her glasses and buttons then clear embossed them.

Jun8 go girl blkThe sentiment, by Kolette Hall, is also embossed (versamark/black ep) then I added some wet marker to the flowers and clear embossed.

Be sure to check out the new releases today too at Sassy Cheryl's

A Challenge...A Thank You...A Grad Card...and Some Jbelle News

gatlinburg ty blk

I needed a thank you card, a graduation card for a party on Saturday, I didn't do the Sketch Challenge yesterday on Splitcoast and I wanted to do Angie's challenge ....soooo, I *ahem* (sorry Mr Eagle) killed 2 birds with one stone so to speak!

First Angie's challenge for the Stamping In Time: On Assignment, ODBD blog.... Create a Scene! SNTODBD11

I wanted a special thank you for Randy, the guy that let us use his cabin in Gatlinburg. It needed to be, well, "MOUNTAINY"!

SC283 SNTODBD11I used the sketch from yesterday. Believe it or not, this was a super quick card to put together! Sponge some clouds, mountains, punch some trees and color the eagle.........and slap it together! I split up the "thank you" by inking it separately and using my stamp positioner.

gatlinburg ty clsup

I highlighted the eagle with my Sakura white gel pen. ACK! Seeing this close-up reminds me I forgot to go around the cut edges with a black marker! It gives a nice "finished" touch!

The black layers are "fauxed" using a ruler and marker. The clouds are my homemade cardboard template, the mountains just a piece of torn copy paper used in the same manner.

*Afterthought*...it would have looked nice with a torn paper river running under the trees....oh well, next time! LOL

stamps: on eagles' wings, friendship- our daily bread designs
paper: gp white, prism
ink: memento tuxedo black, ranger distress pumice stone, walnut stain, brushed corduroy, tumbled glass, stormy sky, weathered wood
other: copics, sponges, martha stewart tree punch, foam mounting tape, sakura white gel pen, sharpie black marker

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

sc283 blk One of my 4H kids, Levi, is graduating and having his party on Saturday, so I had to make him a special card.

Grandstand2 WLS reszWe had fun doing his senior pics. I took this one when we were at the Fiber Festival last month. Tuesday we took more....now, if I could just get Jared (MY son) to realize we NEED to take some of him!

SC283 For Levi This is Frantic Boy Graduate from Sassy Cheryl's, colored with Copics. The sentiment is from As You Graduate, ODBD. The brads are "faux", punched black cardstock with some white gell pen accents then Ranger Glossy Accents over top!
I thought this paper from
Jacksonbelle Embellishments was perfect!
Speaking of... Lindsey (Jacksonbelle) is having a Going Out of Business SALE! *sniff sniff* Everything is 30% off right now.

HAHAHAHAHAHA....just now looking at this... I should have made his shirt PLAID!!!

stamps: sassy cheryl's digital, our daily bread designs
paper: gp white, black,  jacksonbelle embellishments
other: printer, copics, spiral punch, sakura white gel pen, foam mounting tape, ranger glossy accents.

Hope your day is going well!

Jacksonbelle Tuesday!

June1 blk

Our Jacksonbelle Embellishments challenge is to use our Favorite products...what's yours? I enjoy the vast array of designer paper Lindsey carries in the store. I used Pink Paislee today. I'm trying to use up some of my stash so I can order MORE!! LOL! I also love the new MFT Pure Innocence. Keyword JBE108

Here's my card... another tent card from the TLC on Splitcoast yesterday.

June1 LoveYouMuchlyI colored the image with Copics then cut out the girl and mailbox separately. She is suspended between the oval layers with mono-filament thread. The inside is sponged with Distress inks and cloud template, then I drew in some more grass... the sentiment was sponged while still in the die.

A Sassy Jacksonbelle Combo..and a Chance at Being a Sassy Guest Designer!

May18 blk

Our Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #12 is to use buttons, and our Jacksonbelle Embellishments Challenge is a sketch. JBE106

clip_image002

May18 Happy Birthday As you can see, I flipped the sketch to accommodate my adorable new digi image, Birthday Cake Desire, from Sassy Cheryl's. It's water colored with Adirondack reinkers, highlights with a Sakura gel pen. The cake has Liquid Pearls an Stickles on it.

Basic Grey Origins, from Jacksonbelle Embellishments, went just perfectly with my colors! (I rarely choose my paper first...but, color the image THEN pick my DP!)

May18 bear closupI went around the edges of both rectangles with my black Copic, then threw some Magic Mesh behind just because! I like how it turned out! I threaded my buttons on dental floss (no, it wasn't used floss! ewwww, I ran my black Copic over it first!).

May18 cake

In addition to Sassy Cheryl's random pick for a $5 gift certificate, we are looking for a Guest Designer from this week's entries.  Sassy Cheryl and the Sassy Girls will be selecting their favorite entry, and that person will join us in a Guest Designer Spot. How exciting is that!

The winner will be on the Sassy Cheryl Design Team for the week of June 1st and will receive three free digital images from Sassy Cheryl's store.

So, if you ever wanted to be part of a Design Team here's a chance to try it out and get some experience. We hope you will play along.

Jacksonbelle Tuesday...getting Krafty

Apr27 blk

Our challenge today is to use get "Krafty" and use Kraft cardstock. Keyword JBE103

Be sure to stop by the store and see what Lindsey has on sale!!

I have 2 cards to share today...
I didn't start out to make 2...
but...

My first card is a sneak peek at a new set from Our Daily Bread designs, For the Graduate, being released May 1st! I had the card ALL done, then read what our challenge was!!! DUH... use KRAFT!

All I had in mind was the product feature this week,
October Afternoon cardstock!!

So, I cut my card down and put it on a base of Kraft!

Apr27 For the Grad It's colored with Copics, with airbrushing for the sky. I added some white gel pen flowers and used Marvy wet markers and clear embossing powder for the flowers.Apr27 closeup pen1

Now............this is where it gets fun! Our power had blipped off for a brief second this afternoon. I didn't think too much about it since it came right back on. A little while later I got a *reminder* email from Heather saying she needed my card for tomorrow's post since I was one of the featured designers. *GASP* I forgot!! No problem, I could just send her the one I had done...

BLIP!

The power went
.................off!................
and stayed OFF!!

Isn't it nice that you can still stamp without power?! (provided you have enough light...thankfully the sun came out!)

Since I hadn't really done much with Kraft, I started another card. Hoping the power would come back on before blogs had to go live! LOL!

Apr27 blog blk I love coloring with Prismacolor pencils on Kraft! So, that's exactly what I did!
