Looking Back at the ODBD Mid Month Release

RideEmCowboyOldFlagWM

Happy Memorial Day! Today as you’re enjoying your 3 day weekend, pause to remember why…. to all those that paid the ultimate sacrifice we are forever grateful.

YeeHaw! Can you believe it’s almost June!!??!

Today we’re taking a look back at the mid month release from Our Daily Bread Designs. It’s not too late to get those Father’s Day cards made! And not just Father’s Day, perfect for those guys in your life!

RideEmCowboyKeepClimbingWM I used cotton swabs to dab color onto Ride ‘Em Cowboy, stamped and masked it to stamp Keep Climbing. The Saguaro cactus from Howdy are hand cut. The scene is die cut using Pierced Rectangles and the sentiment is on Double Stitched Rectangles.

This set is great for so many occasions! Birthdays, graduation, or with this one, I thought of that special guy leaving home to serve his country.

I stamped Old Flag Background with Colorsnap Chalk ink, the silhouette and verse in Ranger Jet Black, die cut with Pierced Rectangles.

This next card was made for a dear friend who is having to take care of his elderly father in failing health. Both being farmers, I imagined how many times working late into the night they might have stopped and gazed at the sky in awesome wonder.

*edited this morning* I just found out my friend’s dad passed away last night.

A quick card to make! I started by masking the moon with the Circles die and air brushed the sky. I stamped the silhouette and sentiment with Ranger Jet Black, filling in the ground with a black Copic marker. I added the stars with a gel pen.
