More Vintage Christmas in July

flower soft, Christmas Poinsettia Die Cuts, Sharing Your Sorrow

Not everything ‘Christmasy’ needs to be a Christmas card, sometimes you just might want to send a word of encouragement to someone around the holidays. That’s just what I’ve done here with the Christmas Poinsettias Die Cut kit from Flower Soft.

This kit is so beautiful, the poinsettias so lifelike and the candle glow looks like you could actually feel the warmth!

So easy to just pop up the die cut pieces and add whatever embellishments and sentiment and it’s ready to go! I added some piercing to the ‘dots’ on the candles.

flower soft, Christmas Poinsettia Die Cuts,

Here I’ve used ODBD Sharing Your Sorrow, stamping it in Barn Door and adjusting the Spellbinders Labels 15 to fit. I learned this trick from my good buddy, Julie.Sharing Your Sorrow

I used my Cuttlebug so I could see just how far I wanted to crank the sandwich in… This is the backside, you can see I only went so far.

I repositioned my die and held it in place with a sticky note and repeated the process.

I embossed the tag the same way, being careful not to crank it in too far past the center.

I added some piercing around the tag too. And the WT challenge on Splitcoast today is Stitching, real or faux… I opted for faux BUT my fine tip pen wasn’t as ‘fine’ as I thought!! Oh well… I wasn’t starting over! lol!!

There are still a few days of Vintage Christmas so be sure to stop by the Flower Soft Blog . Also, make sure you have 'liked' our Facebook page and look for the Facebook post on Sunday’s Vintage Christmas post. You will want to leave a comment there for a chance to win your own Die Cut Poinsettia kit. Woohoo!!

Thanks for stopping!

Wow Dawn,

This is really fabulous! It has so many different parts brought together. I love that you paper pierced on the candles. I have only seen paper piercing used around the entire project...so creative of you. This is so elegant and beautiful!

BTW, I just went to StampFest and bought my first MuddPuddles set of shells and the beach. I love it, and never would have bought it, if you haven't shown it here on your blog! Thanks so much!
