Sail On! A Sneak Peek!!

Smooth Sailing, Surging Sea

Another peek at several new sets being released July 1 at Our Daily Bread designs!

Smooth Sailing, Surging Sea

This is Smooth Sailing and Surging Sea, very versatile sets!
I did this card for several challenges on Splitcoast. The QFTD119 (Queen For The Day) and F4A123 (Free For All) to use scraps.

I stamped the ship (Surging Sea) in Brushed Corduroy Distress ink on a scrap piece of My Mind’s Eye A Beautiful Life. I didn’t even look at the name of the DP until afterwards… perfect don’t you think?!

Smooth Sailing, Surging Sea

Using more scrap pieces of the same DP, I stamped the sentiments and the compass from Smooth Sailing with Brushed Corduroy and took the pad directly to white scraps for my distressed layers.  I even used the negative piece leftover from Spellbinders Nautical Frame and Accents (the arrow).

Boy, I’d love to be out on the ocean right now… yesterday the temperature display in my van said 104 while I was on my way home.. UGH!! Today is more of the same.

Hope you’re staying cool in your part of the country! And as always….

Thanks for stopping!

Dawn

Beautiful Dawn!! Love all the distressing!! I hope you get some relief from the heat soon. I hate 100's here and we don't have near the humidity you do. Blech!!

Simply beautiful, Dawn! Love how much texture the distressing lends to your card. I also really like your use of the knot!
