A Fancy Fold…

WT362blk

I don’t usually miss looking at many challenges on Splitcoast, I might not do them regularly, but I check them for fun. How I missed this one 3 weeks ago, I don’t know! The technique challenge is a favorite!!

Anyhoo, back on January 30, Holly posted this fancy fold technique. For a good video tutorial, see Marilynn’s blog…………….here.

And, here is my card

WT362a

A little tedious, but fun just the same!

Our Daily Bread designs Flower Frames 2, You Will Find Refuge, It Is Well With My Soul and The Mighty Sea are the stamps I used…along with Chickadee Die and Fence Border Die, also from ODBD. The Fence Border Die qualified the card for the WT362 (use a border punch/die) challenge too…woohoo… love when I can combine several challenges!

Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish is cut from My Mind’s Eye, Paris & Co.

Here it is closed

I actually got the idea for stamping the hymn inside the frame from one of the other girls on the ODBD DT, Connie. Check out For The Love of Borders and Frames Blog Hop, featuring these beautiful borders and frames….

Hope you give this fancy fold a try!

Thanks for stopping!

This is SO gorgeous, Dawn. Your cards are like canvases and sculptures all in one. The details always make me sigh with happy. How is winter going for you and yours? I bet you are all enjoying the hard work of all that lovely growing and canning you did in the summer! Wish I was your neighbour. Wish I hadn't lost your phone number. Thinkin of you, often, even when I don't write! ;o) oxo

I love the look of this card and the intricate look of the folding. Is there a pattern for how to fold this?
