Butterflies, Rainbows and Hoarfrost

ScallopButterfly Faith clsup

An odd combination for sure! LOL!

Yesterday I awoke to another beautiful Hoarfrost that lasted well into the afternoon! I hadn’t gone out and taken any pictures because, frankly, it was just plain COLD! But then Jared called on his way home and said, “Mom! have you gotten any shots of this?!” So….out we went!

These were taken about 2:30pm.
I had some fun with Photoshop too.
Enjoy!

It’s not often Jared lets or even wants me to take pictures of him, so I jumped at the chance! Seriously…we didn’t even do Senior pics! He didn’t care. Surprised smile

He was really into “Finger Lakes” by Tommy Emanuel in every single picture! It was cool (no pun intended… cause it was COLD!) out in the complete stillness and just the sound of his guitar! I did finally get him to smile.

NOW, the butterflies and rainbows will make sense.Winking smile

Today on Splitcoast, the Ways To Use It challenge is rainbows. Here’s my card.

ScallopButterfly Faith

I used an A7 size Fancy Frame Window Scallop from Creative Cuts and More. Everything comes pre-cut and scored and Terry has a huge selection of cardstock colors and textures!

The stamps are this month’s release from Our Daily Bread designs, Single Butterfly and Die, and Faith. I stamped the butterfly bg several times over the card front to cover. I used Prismacolor pencils, blending them with baby oil. The single butterfly is popped up on dimensionals over the punched Martha Stewart foliage.

This will be my last post for a few days as I’m heading out to CHA in the morning!AirplaneOpen-mouthed smileHopefully I’ll have lots to share when I return!

Thanks for stopping!

Great pics Dawn! I have a feeling your son and mine are a lot a like! Beautiful hoarfrost - I kept wondering what that was. I live in Utah and it gets cold here but I think it must get colder where you are. Have fun at CHA!

Beautiful card too - of course that goes without saying - your always have amazing projects!

Dawn, oh how I love those pics of the snow and the hoar frost and the handsome lad in the pics. Who needs senior pics (well maybe Mom)! You did a great job of photographing Jared. I am loving the butterfly pics. That is such a beautiful stamp set. Also, I just love the Valentine girl. That is such a pretty card.
