My ODBD “Time With” Post…

Nov9 Blog GC Holder blk

Sometimes simple is best.
I tend to get complicated with my designs,
and with the holidays fast approaching
who needs complicated!

My "Time With" post today is a Slit Latch Gift Card Holder. Sure to come in handy for that last minute someone I forgot to buy for! LOL!

I used the Holly Tag set and Tag Die, again SIMPLE! These dies shorten my design time BIG TIME! Thank you Our Daily Bread designs !

I embossed and cut the tag with the die, then filled in the holly and berries with Marvy Embossable markers and heat set clear embossing powder. Next I stamped my sentiment using embossing ink and heat embossed white embossing powder. Using a white gel pen, I made stitch marks around the inside of the tag line. Added my ribbon and charm…and… voila! Tag made!

And trust me, the colors match a lot better in real life! I couldn’t get a good picture where ALL the reds looked red! By the way, the charm is sewn on with white dental floss and made to look like it’s hanging on the “C”.

Here is what the inside looks like.

Super quick to make, you can fancy it up or leave it plain..it’s up to you. Now, if you click here, you’ll find the tutorial/video for the Slit Latch Gift Card Holder (say that 3x real fast!).

Hope I’ve taken a little of the stress out of your holiday crafting!

Thanks for stopping!
