A Sketch for Sassy Cheryl's #11

May11 blk

Dawn's Sketch

This week the Sassy Girls were given a sketch for Challenge #11.

I chose a new release, Makeshift Slide.

May11 Cowabunga! Where Cheryl comes up with these ideas is beyond me! How cute is this!! Oh, and I had the opportunity to talk with her on the phone last evening...she has the sweetest hint of a Southern accent!

Colored with Copics and sponged (HA! NOT AIRBRUSHED!!) with Distress inks. The NEW colors!! Yum!! Bundled Sage and Chipped Sapphire. And there's Ranger's Glossy Accents on the water in the pool too!

May11 closeup

She looks dirty here...LOL... it's really not that bad IRL!

paper: georgia pacific white, my mind's eye
ink: ranger distress bundled sage, chipped sapphire
other: copics, ranger glossy accents, fine tip artist pen, daubers, sakura white gel pen

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

afterthought... after my main post was done *wink*

Last week I wanted to fit this new release in, but I just ran out of time! As it is, it's going on 1:30AM as I finish up this post!! Ah, I can sleep in....hopefully!

Anyway...this is Nature Lover Boy. Another "too cute" image!
Can't get much simpler with the sketch!

May11 Nature Boy Now, are you ready for the frog, snail and worm? LOL

May11 frog May11 snail May11 worm I had to cut a teeny, tiny, thin strip of foam dimensional!

May11 worm2 And I toned it down a bit.

May11 frogsnailboy Just too fun! The clouds (see my tutorial) were sponged with Distress ink. I used my Mulitliner to draw in the sketch lines. And used my Sakura glitter pen for the frog's eyes and snail body. I also had to draw in his shoelaces and grass as I'd cut that off when cutting him out.

ink: ranger distress tumbled glass, bundled sage, forest moss
other: copics, multiliner, sakura white and glitter gel pen, foam dimensionals, daubers, cloud template

Hey. . .you snuck in two and they are both AMAZING! I'm glad I don't have to choose between the two. Maybe your daughter can. : )
