Challenge Chicks Use Stazon

Stazon ink is the one I reach for most of the time to use just for my normal stamping, my Jet Black is so worn! But there is so much more that can be done with it, Julia has a nice write up in the Product Spotlight. Also, be sure to see what the other Chicks did with Stazon.

I decided to try something out of my comfort zone, I stamped on a
Clear Sheet. And... not only did I stamp on it, I tried Sherrie's alcohol ink technique too! WooHoo!

I started with the Single Black-Eyed Susan, stamping it with Jet Black Stazon, masked it and stamped it again. (added a little more stem with an artist pen)
Then on the back side I colored it with Ranger Alcohol Inks (this is where Sherrie's tutorial comes in handy!)

Back on the front side I stamped Nature's Silhouettes in Olive Green and Cactus Green Stazon, the dragonflies in Jet Black.

For the scalloped oval, I took one of my Nestabilities and using a fine tip artist pen, I traced around the scallops.

The sentiment, another beauty from Mona Lisa's new line, is stamped on the card base. (by the way....these sentiments will be released tomorrow! 3 sets and they're beautiful!)

Now, I've seen some use stitching to attach the clear sheet to cardstock but that posed a problem! My youngest daughter borrowed my sewing machine!! (she made the cutest lap quilt using Backgrounders...also borrowed from me, lol!)..............anyhoo.................. I took a narrow piece of cardstock, used my scallop scissors, Scor-Pal for a perfect fold and just taped the clear sheet to the base then the scalloped piece over it all.

I'm pretty happy with the outcome. Thanks for stopping by.

Play along too.

This looks great Dawn - love the silhouette foliage used along with the Suzie like that and your scallop edge 'disguiser' works really well.
