WHAT Did YOU Do???!!!!

Our final challenge from Kristine, "Anything But A Card". Be sure to check out Lesley's and Kristine's blogs to see what they did!
We upgraded our cell phones the other day, there were only 2 color choices in the style we got, Lloyd's, a deep red...maroonish, and mine. It's suppose to be 'blue', but to me it looked more 'silvery purple'. Ok, so can you see where this is leading...
When the challenge was issued I was thinking "what could I do?"Thinking
Then it hit me! Mystery Revealed Why not try stamping ON my brand spanking new cell phone!

I punched dots from a sticky note with various punches to cover the 3 buttons and camera lens and used a small Nestability square to do the same to cover the window.

Now to try the stamping... I chose to try first (keyword....first) Pearlescent Sky Blue which I applied to Geometric Flowers. With the rubber side up, I gently but firmly pressed my phone onto the stamp. After lifting carefully, I gave it a quick heat set and peeled off the protective coverings. OOOh, I liked it!

I brought it downstairs and plugged it into the charger and waited for the fireworks! Lloyd came home, took his phone off and plugged it next to mine.............which immediately brought the exclamation... "What Did YOU Do to YOUR phone???!!!" Actually, he thought is was pretty cool and had to show all the family members that came by that evening!

That's when I noticedBad Idea......oops.......maybe I should have gone with Stazon, cause my design was rubbing off! Back to the drawing board.

If you remember, I used stazon to stamp on my memory stick and it did fine. It must have been because it's flatter than my phone, cause I tried every which way to stamp my phone.........but all I got was a smeary disaster. Rubbing alcohol removed the excess ink my rag couldn't get off!

I went back to the Brilliance and decided to try to also emboss with clear embossing powder.................and it worked!

It's really SPARKLY! and the good part...it's not rubbing off!

Wow, great idea Dawn - a unique phone! It looks great, hope the embossing works out and stops the design wearing off.
