Taking a Look Back at ODBD June Release

Today we're taking a look back at the
ODBD June release!
Here is what I used for my samples today.
More about the June release can be seen on the ODBD blog.

I don't know about you, but sometimes I have a hard time pitching a scrap of something if I think it could be used in another project. Yes, sometimes if it's an itty bitty piece I'll deep 6 it, but when I had this negative piece of cardstock with the Asters I just had to try it to emboss!

There ya go! A custom made embossing 'folder'! I think next time, I'll try it again with some thin cardboard or several thick pieces of cardstock for a deeper impression.

Several of the largest Asters from the Aster and Leaves die are the base for the hand cut sentiment from the beautiful Blushing Rose Collection. I love how it fits the smallest die from Vintage Flourish Pattern! Beautiful Borders is also cut from the Blushing Rose Collection.

For the inside, I used a sentiment from Cherry Blossom, Vintage Flourish Pattern and Blushing Rose Collection.
I just love this yummy paper! This one uses the Rose set, colored with Copics and some white gel pen. I also used Circle Ornaments.

This is also the Mojo350 sketch

For lots more beautiful June inspiration,
please see what the rest of the breadsticks have created for you!

Thanks for stopping by!
Dawn

Oh, Dawn, these are beautiful! I love each one, but I especially love the fussy-cut roses! And I'm with you about keeping scraps...and it was worth it! Love it, and I've used some from time to time too! Hugs, sweet friend!

Your cards are both so different and equally beautiful, Dawn! Love how you used the dies for embossing on the first card, and the combination of papers and your beautiful coloring and cutting of the roses is so elegant on the second one! Hugs, my friend!
