Happy New Year and welcome to the first release of 2017 from Our Daily Bread Designs! We have a lot to share with you today, but first make sure you read the prize info!
Prize Information: Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 Gift Code to the ODBD Website just for commenting on the Design Team cards! You have until January 2, 2017 at 9:00 p.m. EST to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win! The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on January 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!
My first sample features Seeds of Today, a whimsical wildflower set and the yummy paper, Plum Pizzazz. Using the emboss resist technique, I stamped the flowers with embossing ink, sprinkled with white embossing powder and heat set. I sponged distress inks, Mustard Seed, Scattered Straw, and Seedless Preserves, then wiped the excess off the flowers and stamped the sentiment.
Another greeting from the set is stamped and cut with Ornate Ovals, sponged while in the die, and popped up over Deco Border.
My next sample is Find Refuge, a Bible journaling stamp, but since I don’t journal I used it on a card along with the other new paper, Whimsical Wildflowers. The feathers are lightly colored with markers and a little sponging around just the edges with Seedless Preserves.
A small piece of Deco Border was added to the front with pearls colored with a marker to match the paper.
Now for a fun sample with a new die, the possibilities are endless!
How cute is this Bountiful Basket! So easy to make and put together! You can either layer it (die pieces included in the set!) or leave it plain. I used Whimsical Wildflowers and Plum Pizzazz. The greetings are from the new set, A Happy Hello, and stamped in Adirondack Purple Twilight.
I also used, Bitty Blossoms, Leaves and Branches, Mini Tags, Vintage Borders, and Vintage Labels.
Look for a “basket filler” tutorial on the ODBD blog on Wednesday, January 4th.
