North Coast Creations Sept. Release!!

It’s all about animals! What a FUN release we have this month from North Coast Creations!!

This first sample uses the adorable stamp/die set Bundle of Love, YES! you read that correctly Stamp/DIE set!!

Stamped, colored and cut with the matching die, sentiment stamped and cut with Double Stitched Pennant Flags. All layered on Lavish Layers and Double Stitched Rectangles. The paper is from Old Glory.

Here is another Bundle of Love sample using the new Tri-Shutter Card die along with Tri-Shutter Layers from ODBD. I also used Ornate Hearts, paper from the Pastel Pack and Easter Card Collection 2016. I love that each animal has a matching die!!

Next up, Go Wild! Another fun, cute set WITH MATCHING DIES!

This fun Double Display Card, Double Display Layers is also new this month from ODBD. Tropical Leaves, Ferns, and Beautiful Boho worked perfectly for this jungle scene. I also used Pierced Ovals, and Ovals. 

 

And a fun birthday card with the same set.

Also used: Birthday Brights, Double Stitched Squares, and Squares.

Now, I have to tell you, I was excited to see this fantastic release not only for the ADORABLE wild animals, but also for this animal so close to my heart!! A LLAMA!!!

And… not just any llama, but my very own Scout’s October Twilight, or Tobi for short!! Thanks, Kelley, for using Tobi as your model!

I stamped, colored and cut the image with Pierced Ovals, layered on Ovals, and embellished with Grass Hill, Grass Lawn, Bitty Blossoms out of Boho Bolds, and Fence cut twice and put together to make it larger. The sentiment is stamped over an air-brushed sky.

She’s a sweetheart too!

And…an easel card masking the image and stamping 2 more times. Also used: Old Glory, Double Stitched Rectangles, Rectangles, and the fence?, well that’s what is leftover from the USA Flag!

Thinking of Doug…

 

When I think of Doug Dill, I think of a 4H’er that grew up to be the Champaign County 4H Extension Educator. When my kids grew up, Doug WAS 4H! And because of Doug, we’ve had llamas a part of the fair for over 15 years! He went before the fair board for 3 years before they finally gave in and let us have a ‘book’ project, then the real, live llamas at the fair!! Doug has since retired, you can take a person out of 4H but you’ll never take the 4H out of the person!

Last Tuesday, Doug suffered a major stroke complicated with other health issues…he is still in ICU. He hasn’t been able to speak…

News this morning was that he said TWO words to his night nurse!! That’s monumental!! Go Doug!!

I’m sorry to have to edit this post, Doug passed away this afternoon (April 14).

About the card:
Plough the Fields and Grace’s Strength came together for this card I’ll be sending him.
I lightly stamped the image and verse then did some air-brushing. Then I colored the image and over-stamped.
Simple, and a nice ‘guy’ card. The twill and embossing folder reminds me of tractor tire tracks!

I hope this card of encouragement will help with his fight to recover. We want to see him at fair in August visiting all the 4H activities! He and the family are in our thoughts and prayers.
