A Christmas Day Birthday and a Gift Candle

Dianna-blk

It’s a busy, busy week and almost ready for Christmas! But…wait! I have a daughter-in-law whose birthday is ON Christmas!! I always try to make her card look as far away from the holiday as possible. I think I accomplished it this year!

For this card I used one of my favorite paper collections from Our Daily Bread Designs, Blushing Rose Collection…I just love it! I stamped the greeting from Pennant Flag Verses, cut and layered with Pennant Flags and Double Stitched Pennant Flags. For my floral spray I used, Pretty Posies, sponged with Iced Spruce and Aged Mahogany, and Fancy Foliage.

When I received the December release I knew I wanted to make a candle. I don’t think this will go to my DIL, rather to a dear friend who has been confined to her home because of poor health for some time. I hope it will bring some cheer!

Maybe you need a last minute Christmas gift for a special someone. This candle is super quick and simple!!

For Thine is the Kingdom stamped on tissue paper, then using my heat tool, carefully heated it to melt it into the wax. And since that beautiful paper was still out, I used it to make a Small Bow! The Deco Border cut twice is perfect for the border.

And although they’re not going together, they do make a nice set!

I hope I’ve inspired you with these simple projects.

And from my house to yours,
I hope you have a blessed and a very
Merry Christmas!

Thanks for stopping by!
