My first card features the fun Flower Box Fillers, Window Shutters and Awning, Welcoming Window dies, and the very versatile Home Sweet Home.

I started by using one of the Fun and Fancy Folds Center Step and covered it with a piece from the Blushing Rose Collection.

Our Daily Bread designs

Lots of flowers in my garden and flower box, sponged with ink while still in the die and white gel pen, and the Grass Border tucked in behind.

I put tabs on each end of the awning and tucked them behind the window to attach it. I used the same die to make the shade out of more Blushing Rose.

The little cute garden sign is the smallest die from Layered Lacey Squares.

Soooo many possibilities with these dies!!!

I wanted to try and create a background with these beautiful roses from Fragrance, much like the wild roses that are blooming around here right now!

How many of you have Pearl Ex and never use it? ME… raising my hand here!!

That’s what I did… and I love the outcome! I stamped with VersaMark embossing ink, then brushed on the PE. The embossing ink is sticky so the PE sticks to the image then you just take a soft cloth, like a Swiffer that will pick up the excess powder without wiping the image away, and lightly wipe your piece. I also used Flourished Star Pattern die.

I just couldn’t capture the shimmer with my camera!

Our Daily Bread designs

For the beautiful roses, using my MISTI, I stamped the image in Memento Gray Flannel so I could see the image to color it but not be dark enough to show through after. After coloring with Copics and again using the MISTI, I over-stamped with Victorian Velvet which made the image POP! The image is hand cut.

I wanted to ‘frame’ the sentiment but not hide the background, so I made a doily frame with the Doily die, Circle Ornaments, Matting Circles, and tucked one of the Beautiful Borders in there too.

Before attaching the roses to the card, I gave them several spritzes with Glimmer Mist.

The colored layer is a piece of white cardstock with the edges colored with E04 to match the flowers, then taped to my folded A2 base.
