I got your attention with that title didn’t I!!
Let’s start with the whispered prayers.
-
A card needed for a friend
-
The Technique Challenge on Splitcoast
- The MOJO Monday sketch
The technique is to take an embossing folder, ink it up (or dab paint), spritz with water, lay your paper over it and gently finger-walk over. You can find the tutorial here.
I used water color paper over a Spellbinders Embossitbilities folder (009) with Kaleidacolor Bouquet spectrum pad.
The verse is from ODBD Holy Angels. I also used ODBD Circle Ornaments and Crocheted Border dies.
A quick card and I love the results of the embossing folder stamping!

Now, where does the shooting come into this post?
Well, I’ve dabbled in photography since I inherited my dear departed father-in-law’s 35mm camera many years ago. And, once my kids got to high school and the thought of paying someone to take their senior pictures… we went the “Mom can do this” route! (that’s 5 seniors!)
That led to several of their friends asking if I could also take their senior pictures! Ok…. now that makes me nervous! My own kids, fine…but other people? Well, we’ll give it a try!
Since then I’ve upgraded from the old film style to digital and I still have people contact me from time to time for their senior pics. One such call came a couple weeks ago from a stranger that had been talking to a friend…..yes, I’d done her kid’s pics. Thanks, Sally!
So, the spot/date/time was picked and we were just hoping the weather cooperated! It did, even though we had hail and rain in the morning!
Here is just a sampling of some of the ones I took. I’m still adjusting to the all the bells and whistles on my upgraded digital camera….I’m NO professional, just like to have fun snapping pics!
The beautiful property where we were belongs to a childhood friend of her dad, she has many memories here. One of those memories is getting to ride on the Harley. So her dad got it out of the garage for several special shots. I could tell she’s very close to her dad and snapped a few extra shots.
She also brought her boyfriend and her dog, Bella, along. I snapped this fun shot as we were heading to another part of the property. Bella is in several other shots.
So, there you have it…
whispered prayers and shooting!
Thanks for stopping!
Dawn
