You Know I HEART Snow….Cards and Rollers

Strange title, I know…but you’ll understand as you read on!

Sharing some sneak peeks of some new ODBD goodies!! And a snow phenomenon for our area!

First, Our Daily Bread designs has a FABULOUS treat for you on Feb 1!! Be ready to have your socks knocked off! Stamps, Dies AND…. Paper! Woohoo!!

CleanHeart473WM This beautiful paper is from the Heart and Soul Collection, which matches the new stamp set, Clean Heart! I also used one of the new gorgeous dies from Beautiful Borders. There is a Pre-Order sale going on now too!!

This card was done for the sketch challenge on Splitcoast. Quick and easy!

I’ve seen so many samples the DT has been doing… oh my… AMAZING!!! Be sure to stop back on the 1st!!!

Now, for that phenomenon. Have you heard of “Snow Rollers”? I hadn’t until this past Monday!

You've got to have four or five ingredients, and they have to come together at the same time. First, the ground must be covered by a layer of ice, then have wet, loose snow on top, with a temperature near freezing. Next, winds need to be strong enough to get the snow rolling, but not too strong that they dismantle the weak inner layers of the roller. You have to have winds of maybe 20, 25 miles per hour.

Yesterday my son and I ventured out into field across the road (in the RZR)…. we waited until it warmed up to 1*! Here are some of the pics we got.

{right clicking on a picture will bring it up larger in another window}

How amazing is that! Wouldn’t it have been neat to have been able to watch these form??!! But I wasn’t up at 2am when the BLAST of wind hit….awake, yes, but not up!

Hey, thanks for stopping and looking!
