This past weekend I got to spend some time with Kelley and husband, Rick, in Amish country. You wouldn’t believe how many “chalkboard” things we saw! These beautiful chalkboard singles will make your Christmas card making a snap!
This is Glory to God
I used one of the leaf dies from the custom Fall Leaves and Acorn dies and tucked them in the custom Fancy Foliage! Also, tucked behind the image is a custom Decorative Corners die.
This is Prince of Peace
Gold mirror paper for the Fancy Foliage, and a gold leafing pen for the scrollwork embossing folder background. Pretty quick and simple but looks like you took hours!

The last 2 chalkboard cards are so very elegant with their rick colors and details. I really like the first one too with that adorable squirrel that you colored perfectly!!
Your cards are all so pretty! I love the chalkboard against the white background and the flowers-really gorgeous! The gold foil background is also good with the chalkboard stamps.
Oh my Goodness!! Three totally fantastic cards...hard to pick a favorite! I think I'll have to go with the first...love the fall color contrast on this card!!
Oh goodness Dawn!!! You have blown me away yet again! LOVE the mirrored gold and black combo... it's eye popping gorgoeus! Love your squirrel... that bracket die is a perfect ledge for him to sit on! Love the embossing on the third... love it all... what can I say?!!

Wow these are all incredible! I absolutely adore the squirrel and all of the elements you used are just perfect. I'm loving the chalkboard stamps and how they don't need a whole lot of extra embellishing to make a truly fabulous card.
I love your red squirrel and the beautiful design of the first card, Dawn! The raffia and acorns tie all the elements together beautifully!..Your chalkboard cards are gorgeous and so elegant! Beautiful, Dawn!! Love the second one with your beautiful floral spray and the lovely chalkboard sentiment. But the first one has to be my favourite. I really like that you coloured him as a red squirrel :D. It's a long time since I've seen one - the grey squirrels took over once they arrived on the scene here. The raffia and acorn treatment finishes it off to perfection.
Your cards are just Beautiful, love the one with the golden accents, your squirrel is just great, love the coloring and the flower arrangement is just lovely on the other one.

My question is since I am starting to make cards instead of scrapbooking what kind of machines will I need? I already know that I am getting a Silhouette but it seems like I will still need a die cutting machine also especially for using folders to emboss my cards?? Could you tell me your favorites and give me some advice?! I am lost!
