Variety! A Sketch, Technique, Tutorial and OWH Mid-Week Throwdown Challenge

SC402blk

Sometimes you just get on a roll, creatively speaking and crank out some cards!! At least I did, two this morning and one that I had started and finished up!

I’ll start with the one I had started on Monday… I needed a sympathy card for a friend that lost his wife quite quickly and unexpectedly.

Those are always the difficult ones to make… but we have consolation knowing she was a believer and now in a far better place!

Our Daily Bread designs, Scripture Series 3

I used the Technique challenge from Splitcoast, you can see a tutorial here. It’s called a Twisted Card. The verse is from ODBD Scripture Series III.

I trust this will bring some comfort to the family… absent from the body, present with the Lord.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Now, a sketch {Splitcoast}, done vertically and horizontally..totally different, yet the same! Also both done for the OWH Mid-week Throwdown ChallengeAny Hero cards and using the color scheme Red, White & Blue is optional

Our Daily Bread designs, Be Joyful

This is ODBD Be Joyful, ColorBox Chalk ink, Prussian Blue, SEI Promise Me dp, Garden Gate MS deep punch, Spellbinders ovals.

ODBD, Keep Climbing

And… ODBD Keep Climbing, stamped in Prussian Blue. The tree line is an MS punch, I punched from white cs then took my Forest Moss distress ink pad directly to the paper.
Each layer was edged with a red Copic marker.

Here is how I did the clouds…
{right clicking on a picture will bring it up larger in another window for your viewing pleasure}

I hope I’ve inspired you to try something NEW today, whether it be a layout, a new technique, or even sending some homemade cards to OWH for our service men and women!

Thanks for stopping!

Oh, my! That mountain range with your beautifully created clouds is wonderful! A great card!
I have been admiring ODB's stamp set... just wonder some times how many stamp sets a stamper needs! Anyway, I think I should buy it!

Your Any Hero card is awesome and so creative. Nice to see something different than stars and stripes for a change ;)
