Faux Patina and a Llama Walk at Dusk

tlc370 blk

I love the simplicity of this card even though it LOOKS like I spent a long time on it!!

The Technique Challenge yesterday on Splitcoast was Faux Patina. I’m not sure I did mine right, but I sure like the outcome!! It’s also for the Color Challenge this week.

I used Spellbinders M-Bossabilities, Enchanted. The inks I used were Ranger Distress Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire, Worn Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade. The embossing powder is Ranger Super Fine Detail.

Once my background was done, I rounded the corners, rounded the corners on my white cs base… yes, I said WHITE! Before adhering my bg, I took my Chipped Sapphire pad and DTP (direct to paper) around the edges!

Lots of texture going on here with little effort!

I love this new Spellbinders
Floral Ovals! I stamped the quote from Spread Light  by ODBD in Chipped Sapphire and embossed with clear ep, then sponged the edges with Worn Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade.

I hope I’ve inspired you to check out
the technique and give it a try!!

Last night I had a 4H meeting and we always try to take several walks into town during the first few months. Well, last evening was pretty chilly so our walk consisted of going down the road, once around the cemetery and back up to the house! Fun none the less!

We even broke in the newbie parents who went along with us.

birthday

After the llamas were all put away, we had a nice treat from our newbie family… CUPCAKES!! And since it was Patty’s birthday last Friday and Carmen’s 16th birthday tomorrow… we had a little celebration! Patty has been with me from the beginning… I call her my ‘den mother’. Not only are my new parents and daughter excited about the club… they make pretty good treats too!! I think I’m going to like having them around!! LOL!

Thanks for stopping!!
