Splitting the Image and a Couple More =)

tlc293 blk

Today I proved several things...

  1. How pretty an image can be simply stamped in colored ink.
  2. And...I don't HAVE to color every time I make a card!! Today, my Copics and Prismas got a rest!

The Technique challenge on Splitcoast today was to make a card splitting the image. Missing You, ODBD, came to mind... background is Brocade Background also from ODBD. It also worked for Hope You Can Cling To challenge from yesterday, a card with no sentiment on the front.

TLC293 The End of SummerI called it "Summer's End"...as the flowers fade, the leaves start to fall and the general "scruffiness" of how the yard looks! Hence all the distressing!! The ribbon is heat distressed and looks really cool IRL.

As long as I'm sharing "Hope You Can Cling", which by the way is for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month... here are a couple others I made for the challenges.

FS191 HYCCT Lingerie... make a card...something lacy, satiny...etc. I thought the dry embossing and the satin ribbon fit. I used Blessed Christmas and Poinsettia Die from ODBD. That's Grace's Frame embossing folder on the base.

Pink HootHappy Haunting, from Whipper Snapper Designs, by Anna Wight was for a "Pink Holiday". It's colored with Prismas, clouds with my template sponged with Distress ink.

Hope you're staying toasty where ever you might be.
It's definitely flannel and hoodie weather here! Ahhh, I LOVE Fall!!!

Thanks for stopping!

Oh so many pretty things to see here today! Love the split image and yes, I think this is a great image to do without coloring sometimes! Looks great! Love the poinsettia too!!!

SHOCKING......absolutely SHOCKING that YOU think you can make a card without COLORING....the world has turned itself topsy turvy......and now everything is out of balance cuz I don't have your wonderful coloring to comment on......however, since you are taking a break, I gotta say this non-colored creation is stunning....

well...I received the blog candy in the mail and I must say...I am very very torn as to what to do. Let me ask you this: if you're at the store and the clerk accidently gives you too much change do you go back and return the money? Okay, me neither...bad example...let's say they give you WAY too much money back, then yes, of course you tell them. So, Dawn...you made a mistake...you accidently gave me two blog candies. Yes, you sent the wonderful coloring technique book but I also found this INCREDIBLE card in there you made. THAT ALONE is worthy to be called blog candy. Wow, Dawn. Photos do not do your work justice.
Thank you for the book and your card! I am doubly blessed.

Love the fence stamped and divided! Such a stunner! I never knew you could heat distress ribbon. Very cool to know.
The poinsettia card is simply gorgeous, very classy.
Your owl card is too cute. Lol

I really like the Poinsettia. What is the dry embossed frame that you used on this card?
