What a beautiful Monday! Seriously, the temps are perfect, windows are open, birds are singing... I'm BUSY! LOL!
I made this card yesterday for the Featured Stamper on Splitcoast, Princessheather. She is such a sweetheart, I just had to play the challenge!
I used Our Daily Bread designs Happy Fall and Flower Frames II, two net sets this month. It's colored with Copics and sponged with Dried Marigold Distress ink. The DP is SEI. I'm hoping Kelley gets some dies made like these frames!! The GP white layers are "faux cardstock" done with a Copic that matches...only the edges are colored *wink*.
The essence of summer........butterflies, wildflowers .... AND the garden growing like crazy!
Lloyd's pepper plants are in tomato cages and are NO JOKING... at least 3 1/2 feet tall if not more! This is just a sampling of what's yet to pick!
Today I've canned 6 qts of peaches and 14 qts of tomatoes. Tonight we're freezing boatload of okra and corn! Just a small patch... 90 x 30 I think! *gasp*
I'm thankful, the Lord has been good!
I had a tough weekend.. I lost one of my beloved llamas, Diego. He's been battling for a year now...the vet had done all he knew to do, but it was his time to go.
He had the best temperament, always did what he was asked to do. He will be deeply missed!
Thanks for stopping....Dawn

Oh my word, about thoose peppers...godness, I bet they are GOOOOOOOOOOD, love me some peppers. Your garden bounty is amazing. When do you slow down? LOL!!!
Dawn, I am so sorry that you lost Diego. I remember you mentioning him many times in your blog posts.
I wish I had that big basket of peppers. My husband loves roasted peppers with garlic and olive oil. It's an Italian favorite.
Your card is gorgeous.
Sorry about Diego, Dawn. Hope all else is well on the farm. Take care, Liz

Oh, Dear Dawn,
I am so sorry to hear about your very special Diego. It appears that he has touched so many people's lives...added happiness to other people's lives, too. I wish that you didn't have to go through this time of grieving. I'm here is you want to talk!
He IS Able,
Traci S.
p.s. I am sorry, I forgot to comment about your beautiful card. It is just that--beautiful! I love the colors that you used, as well as the shape where the actual coloring is located. That is an awesome look! The butterfly is so gracefully sitting there. You are a very talented artist, my friend.
I will pray for you, and your loss. I do not minimize the loss of an animal. I had my dog for 16 years. She was one of my closest friends at the time. I will pray that you will be especially aware of His presence, and comfort at this time.
Enjoy your harvest! I am partial to peas or corn or carrots! OR canned fruit or pickles! lol
Oh Dawn.....when I saw that 'goodbye' in your title I had a feeling it was not a stamping goodbye, but a personal one.....I am so sorry my dear friend. Diego certainly looks like he has left a legacy of love. May that comfort you in your loss.
hugs,
joanne
