Cozy Cottage Thanks

SC288 blk

So, you know me and know I love to color images! This one takes me back to my DT days with a company that had Thomas Kinkade. I love adding little extras like flowers, shadows in the windows and lights!

This is for several challenges, first the Sketch Challenge on SCS and I found it also fits for Color Throwdown celebrating their 100th challenge!

SC288 HospitalityI used 2 new sets from Our Daily Bread designs, The Living Bread and Bless This Home.

SC288 clsup1You can see I added different flowers throughout the grass and bushes using a Sakura white gel pen, Copic marker and Sharpie fine tip markers.

SC288 clsup2Several shades of yellow and a touch of red made the inside look cozy and inviting, then I added some Sakura glitter pen to give it the "TK" light look.

SC288 sideThe image was masked then airbrushed. I traced around the same Spellbinders Labels 9 die that I used for the image, this gave me the perfect size for my layer. I just added some Flower Soft around the edge! The snaps on the tab actually came from a Cuttlebug package! The paper is DCWV's Garden Party.

I hope you enjoyed this post and maybe learned a trick or two to try in your next project!

I'm going to try to stay cool today..INSIDE! This weather stinks! I don't know how you people in the south manage! LOL!

Thanks for stopping!

Dawn

Wow Dawn~

This is so incredible! I love all of it! I really like the different layers you used behind the scene. The front lawn is just beautiful with all of those flowers. The home really does look cozy...I expect to see a tiny face look out through one of the panes of glass!
This really needs to be framed! It is in my top 10 of my favorite art pieces of yours!

And, I just learned a BUNCH of new tips from you...not just one or two! Thank you so much for sharing those pearls of wisdom!

You are something special, Dawn!
