In looking online for the right sentiment to put on my card, I came across this Winnie the Pooh quote...perfect!
This is the card I did for the sketch challenge on Splitcoast. I got to sit in for the regular hostess again...woohoo!
This is Bee on Your Nose, from Sassy Cheryl's, a new release this week! Isn't this just adorable!
I colored the image with Copics and set it aside... time to construct the background!
Here are the measurements for the layers:
1- 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
2- 2 1/2 x 4 1/2
3- 1 1/2 x 3 1/4
4- 2 3/8 x 3
5- 2 x 2
Each layer is faux'd by using a ruler and black sharpie marker to go around the edges. Saves on paper and the actual weight of the card! *I came back to edit this as i think some people are maybe thinking there are no layers...maybe I should call it faux matting instead! All the panels are there, they just aren't doubled by layering on black cs.*
Then I adhered them in place and airbrushed the clouds and grass.
I cut out the images and popped them up on dimensionals.
Since I had to cut away the bee trail and the grass, I had to redraw that in.
I also added a little texture to the fur of the bear by dabbing at it with a cloth with a few drops of colorless blender on it.
As always, thanks for stopping!
Dawn
