What A Difference A Sketch Makes!

Two totally different cards from the same sketch...I love the Sketch Challenge on SCS!

I started with this Titmouse I'd colored yesterday and set aside. I want to try to dust off and use some of the older stamps I've had for some time....this being one of them! I also used two of the stamp cubes from Stampendous...also ones I've had for a long time! I love that you can make your own pattern paper...
................. *NOTE TO SELF* ....... keep using!!!

The bird is colored with Copic markers, inked up with Versamark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. This enhances the colors and makes it so much easier to cut out, especially those teensy pieces!
Here you can see the card base done with the Marble Texture Cube, 3 different patterns stamped in 3 inks. The 3 leaf patterns are from the Foliate Quad Cube.

Yesterday I went to Michael's and bought another Martha Stewart border punch...hey, I had a coupon! *wink*

All the layers are "fauxed" using a Sharpie marker and ruler.

Looks totally different right?! Same layout!

I have a good friend on SCS that is the Queen of black & white or black-white-color, which is something I seldom do.
I got this pack of chipboard buttons at M's too in the $1 bin! All different shapes...wish they'd had more of a variety of colors, and why didn't I get all 3? Ya gotta wonder sometimes!!! Sheesh!!

Anyhoo...here again I used one of the Stampendous cubes, this one called "Paper Cube". Unfortunately the Pink Sherbet ink got washed out in the photo, but the base is 2 parts of the cube. The second layer is the 3rd on that cube. All the black layers are "fauxed", again using a Sharpie marker and ruler.

I love how this one turned out...cute, no?

Wow...I've blogged a lot lately...HAHA....dont' get used to it, I might get in a slump!
