Right now it's snowing, the temp is 21 with a windchill of 12! I love snow and feel if it's gonna be cold outside there SHOULD BE SNOW!! But let's face it....who wouldn't want to be relaxing in a scene like this!!
I did this card for the Inspiration Challenge on SCS, wonderful calendars to choose from! Oh my was it ever hard! But....as soon as I saw this one I knew what I wanted to do!
I stamped the chair from an old retired SU set called Along The Shore, masked the chair and stamped the Beach Grass from Paper Angel, colored it all with Copic markers and added the ocean and sky. White gel pen was added along the edge of the ocean for that last little bit of wave as it hits the sand....ahhhhhhhh, can you smell the salt air and hear the gulls?
The main panel is faux layered by using my handy dandy "faux layering" tools... ruler and sharpie marker! It's popped up on thin foam dimensionals and layered on Prism Kraft. The gulls were stamped several times along the bottom............and voila! A clean simple card! (you know, after looking at this...those aren't seagulls....maybe sandpipers?)
Enjoy your Saturday!
Thanks for stopping!

Dawn, Love the card and can relate to your weather situation. I'm in the MTS. of NH. Dawn B.
Beautiful card Dawn! Even I can relate a little as our sunny California weather has disapeared and we have rain!
I feel your pain with the cold and snowy weather. Great beach scene. Yes, I could smell the sea air, ah to dream.... But, being only human, you know that in a few months we will be griping about the heat!!!!
It's just as cold here, but I can't smell the salt air! I'm hoping soon! I saw this on SCS earlier and fell in love with it! Love your designs! Stop by my blog...I have something for you!
P.S. Wow, what a war zone! LOL!
I love when the old retired SU sets get pulled out. They don't make images like this anymore. I love this card, Dawn. Reminds me of the first year or so of us doing challenges together. Grogeous coloring.
This is just amazing! What a wonderful beach scene and the running seagulls across the bottom (they must have seen the llamas). Beautiful work Dawn!!
Oh totally gorgeous, Dawn. Love the movement created by the foam of the water and those gulls! Inspired and wonderful
Beautiful card, beautiful scene. I love this stamp set. I'll have to pull it out and attempt to create something with it to remind me that warmer days will be here soon ( LOL - okay, maybe not so soon ).
