Cornish Heritage is getting ready to release some new images.
This is one from
Asela's
'Trees'. The sentiment is from a set being released the 25th, Essential Expressions.
- I stamped the Date Palm Tree, adding more to the ground with an artist pen and then masked it to stamp the Clouds and Seagulls.
After tearing a piece of copy paper, I used it to sponge inks off the edge to apply the colors. First the beach using Distress Tea Dye and Brushed Corduroy, then the water using Adirondack Stonewashed and Stream.
Before doing the sky, I colored the seagulls with a Sakura white gel pen. The sky was sponged with Distress Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmlade. Only the Palm Tree and one Cloud at a time were masked (too lazy to cut more masks! lol)
I then went back and recolored the seagulls with the gel pen and colored the Palm with copic markers. I used a small dauber to fill in some of the sky color around the Palm and clouds.
The water horizon wasn't definitive enough for me so I sponged some Distress Weathered Wood along that line.
The bottom edge is torn and the entire piece is faux layered by taking a Sharpie black marker and a ruler...I just followed the torn edge with the marker, barely touching it.
Faux photo corner done by cutting a square with my Spellbinders square die, cutting it in half and then taking a small circle die to cut out the center. It's sponged with Distress Walnut Stain and popped up on dimensionals.
Spanish Script was stamped with Adirondack Stream and sponged with Distress Vintage Photo, Tea Dye and Walnut Stain.
