Today's sketch challenge on SCS flipped.
I stamped SU's God's Blessings and Fantastic Foliage in Stazon black.
Watercolored the pines with reinkers and sponged the edges with Ranger distress inks, Scattered Straw and Shabby Shutters.
All black layers are 'faux' by using a sharpie marker and ruler
I love doing faux brads and was inspired by Rox's example today (she used dp to punch her brads).
I dtp'd Ranger Fired Brick then stamped in black CHF's Tulle backgrounder. I layered this piece 2 times for thickness and punched out the 'brads'.
I then used this cool stuff I got from CHF, called Matte Accents by Ranger, to cover the brads.
It's a dimensional non-glossy medium that dries to a matte, transparent finish.
The card base is CHF's Scalloped Lace backgrounder stamped in distress ink Fired Brick.
Simple yet I'm pleased with the outcome

Wow, this is very pretty. I love the simplicity of the layout, the very interesting brads, and your faux black edging. . . most of all I LOVE the sentiment! He is the 'Reason for the Season.' May we all be blessed this Christmas and all year through! :) TFS
