Spring is in the Air!….ODBD March Release

TulipsCircScal-sd

Hi, and welcome to the March release from Our Daily Bread Designs! It’s beginning to look a lot like Spring here in Ohio and this release makes me anxious for all my flowers to be blooming!

Before I get to my samples, here is the prize info!

Prize Information: Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 Gift Code to the ODBD Website  just for commenting on the Design Team cards! You have until March 2, 2017 at 9:00 p.m. EST to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on March 6th, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

This is Tulips, and Circle Scalloped Rectangles. There is a coordinating Tulip die, but I didn’t use it on this card. You’ll see some wonderful samples from the other Sticks though.
I stamped one image, masked it and stamped a second, colored with Copics, then masked them both and air-brushed the background. I cut “out of box” with my craft knife so the pieces just fit out of the frame.

I also used Pierced Ovals and Pierced Rectangles.

My next sample uses something completely new to ODBD, God’s Blessings Coloring Pages! 40 Designer coloring pages, 4 sheets of each design.

GodsBlessingsColorPgPhil4-WT2

The pages can be cut using the Rectangles die, but I chose to just use a ruler and black marker to make a faux mat around the colored image. I also used Pierced Rectangles.

Gorgeous coloring on both cards, Dawn! Love the pink tulips tucked into the frame and the frame drawn around the coloring page creates the image of another layer. Beautiful release projects! Hugs!

Dawn, your samples never disappoint. The technique you used with the leaf outside the die is one I want to learn. This is such a beautiful set. Thanks for all your inspiration.

Dawn, It's nice to know that you don't always need to use the coordinating cutting die. In your Tulip Card, I love how you make the tulips overlap the frame just enough to make it come alive. Thank you for sharing the Copic numbers you used. It's great that I can duplicate your colors and not have to guess which markers were used to get the same effect.
