My first sample uses the set Home for the Holidays and new paper, Christmas Card Collection 2016 for the oval sentiment. This set offers a nice a variety of sentiments and the paper collection colors and styles is a must have!

Colored with Copics and sponged with distress ink, Seedless Preserves and Mustard Seed. I also used Layered Lacey Ovals, and Stitched Ovals for the popped up sentiment. I used silver mirror paper which is so hard to photograph!

My second sample, Our Savior’s Birth, is combined with one of the new dies, Noel Border Die.

The image is colored with Copics. I also colored the Double Stitched Squares frames, the double Noel Border Die, and the verse background with Copics to match. The paper is from Rustic Beauty Collection.

WOW the manger is stunning! The double stitch die was the perfect choice for the frame on the manger scene. With your coloring it really added the dimensional look. You are gifted artist and you copic coloring skill and choice of colors is just perfect.

The card about "Our Savior's Birth" is so perfect! I realize I'm a little biased because I absolutely love trees and wood, but your use of a woodgrain background fits perfectly since both Joseph and Jesus worked as carpenters!! :) And I love the choice of sentiment.
Both your designs are lovely but I am partial to that second one. Great job!

Gorgeous samples, Dawn! Love the glow around the streetlight on your first card and the rustic setting of your nativity card! Both wonderful Christmas cards!

These are such beautiful cards! I don't use Copics, but I like the way you pictured which pens you used for the people who do -- because your coloring is so well done. You also chose the perfect colors. The purple in the invitation is lovely and I can imagine a cold winter night looking dark purple plus I love it with the mirrored layer. The nativity scene is very realistic looking (for our culture) but the symbolism in the card really appeals to me -- the wooden background (Jesus being a carpenter), the dogwood blossoms (how they represent Christ's wounds from his being nailed to the cross [supposedly made of a dogwood tree]) and even your border die whose edge almost looks like a series of crosses. Thank you so much for your sharing these and your inspiration.
