Today we’re taking a look back at the August mid-month release from Our Daily Bread Designs.
This was designed as a sympathy card for a friend who recently lost her father. Although they didn’t live near the ocean, they did live near Lake Erie, so I thought By the Sea and this verse fit perfectly.
The pelican is colored with Copics and a little white gel pen on the wing and is hand cut. The verse is cut with Stitched Ovals.
The Mighty Sea is the background, colored with Copics and white acrylic paint, framed by Lavish Layers (roughly colored with a Copic to match the ocean and give a weathered look) and Rectangles dies. A piece from the Nautical Collection is the base.
