LogCabinQuilt-QWL-CozyQltColl-sd

Welcome to the April release from Our Daily Bread Designs!

Here in my part of the country you don’t have to travel very far before you come upon a quilting shop or a county fair quilt display! And that’s just what this release is all about, with beautiful papers, dies and stamps!

Here’s how you can win a prize, just follow these instructions…

Prize Information: Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 Gift Code to the ODBD Store just for commenting on the Design Team cards! You have until April 2, 2016 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on April 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

LogCabinQuilt-QWL-CozyQltCollWM

This is Log Cabin Quilt stamp, colored with Copics and layered on Squares and Double Stitched Squares. The sentiment is from Quilted with Love on Double Stitched Rectangles and sponged while still in the die and atop Beautiful Borders. I love the colors in the paper collection, Cozy Quilt Collection!

QWL-DresdenQlt-WM

For this card, I was thinking of a quilt hanging on display, it has to have some sort of frame or hanger….so I used pieces of Filigree Frames to hold my Dresden Quilt. I chose two pieces from the lovely Americana Quilt Collection, using the Dresden Quilt die to cut the pattern. The sentiment is from Quilted with Love and is cut with Double Stitched Rectangles and also framed with Filigree Frames pieces. The largest die from Flourished Star Pattern is layered in there over the piece of red patterned paper….the same piece that the quilt square was cut from! (quilters don’t waste fabric! lol)

What’s great about these quilt dies and papers is when you mix and match, you have pieces to make several cards!

Here is another one, rather plain, but it shows the detail of the stitched edges of the dies and the versatility of the Dresden Quilt to make a flower! The flower is attached to a circle from Circles.

LogCabinQlt-Dresden-AllMothersWM

Log Cabin Quilt die stamped with two of the options from All Mothers.

And remember the part about mixing and matching? I already have a “quilt” made with the patterned pieces and solid frame, ready for another card!

Great eye for detail. The way you mixed and matched your papers made for beautiful cards. They could really be quilts. Perfect to include with a quilt you were actually gifting someone.
