ODBD March Release!

March…….in like a LION
(we’re forecast to get 4-6 inches of snow!),
out like a Lamb!
Nineteen more days until……. SPRING!!!

Welcome to the March release from Our Daily Bread designs! Sit back and enjoy what the we’ve created just for YOU!

This is what I used for my samples today from this release.

I used the basket from Basket of Blessings, colored it with Copics and hand cut it, then filled it full of flowers from Iris and Happy Easter…all fussy cut. Filling in between the flowers, I used Grassy Border die. I can see me using this die A LOT!!! I used Vintage Labels die for the greeting and Flourished Star Pattern die for the gingham layer. I felt kind of bad for covering up the beautiful paper from the Shabby Rose Paper Collection! That cute little gingham bow is from Circle Ornaments die.

Prize Information: -
Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website just for commenting on the Design Team cards! You have until March 2, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. EST to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on March 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

You can also see all the info here, on the ODBD blog.

My next sample hides nothing and lets the beauty of the Shabby Rose Paper Collection and the beautiful hymn by Charles Wesley, Christ the Lord is Risen Today,  shine through! One of my favorite Easter hymns!

I used Ranger Victorian Velvet for the title and Ranger Iced Spruce for the music, embossed in clear. (although these inks stay wet for a while to emboss, I also used Versamark before inking up in the color to ensure a good embossing!)

For lots more March inspiration, please visit my sister sticks and see their fabulous creations!

Just love the basket and what you have done with it and the grassy die. The colors of the flowers are so spring-like and beautiful.
Interesting too, is the way you used the Christ the Lord is Risen Today stamp. Just beautiful. Love it.

Basket Full of Blessings was done superbly, all the fussy cutting was worth it. Loving the overflowing fullness of it. Interesting use of grass diecut.

Christ the Lord Is Risen Today stamp was beautifully applied over the patterned paper. Simple, but so elegant.
