I don’t remember when I first met Charlene on Splitcoast, but waaaay back in 07 we were part of a crazy, fun-filled challenge group, CCEE.
Several of the originals are now alumni and today, along with the current group, on what would have been Charlene’s birthday…..we’re paying tribute to a sweet, talented lady.
This is a different sort of post… the stamping community lost a sweet friend at the beginning of this year, LilLuvsStampin, as she was known on SCS lost her battle earlier this month with that ugly “C” word. She loved the color purple, M&M’s and penguins.
We were asked to either post a card that we’d made from our time as a CCEE’r, make a new card, or choose a card from Charlene’s gallery and CASE it. I chose the latter, with this card.
Charlene used Gesso Resist technique for this beauty.
I used the same technique, stamping on an old floral craft book page, Floral Sentiments, from North Coast Creations.
Purple and M&M’s!
One day many years ago, Charlene sent me a beautiful, Fall colored, tea towel for my birthday. Besides when I eat M&M’s, I have this forever reminder of a gracious lady, who I was fortunate enough to call my friend.
My heart goes out to her husband, Terry and her family. Gone from this world, but never forgotten.
Please visit the CCEE blog for more tributes.
Thanks for stopping
Dawn
