Well, one year ago today we came home to find the damage from very strong straight line winds…we lost over 10 trees, every side of the house was damaged in some way…. power out for days… a real mess!
Lots of wood cutting and splitting (still have some trees on the fence line to take care of!!!) later, we now have a newly sided home, a fabulous whole house wood furnace and quite a bit of wood to feed it!
Still some yard repair to do, fashion and redo the fire pit, you’ll see in the one picture Lloyd made a bench out of part of the Ash that hit the house. And still thankful it wasn’t any worse.

Hi Dawn,
This card is stunning! It is so very elegant. I love the way you used the flourish stamp--very creative!
You have such a wonderful outlook on what that storm did to your home, your land and your lives! I think it would be fitting for you to have a card with lemons on it. Why? Because you have the insight to know that you make lemonade when life tosses you a few lemons!
You are a great example of weathering a storm...and coming out even stronger! I praise Him right now for your safety, and of how you are such a wonderful model of a woman who walks closely with the Lord! Thank you so much for sharing about this!
His,
Traci Starkweather
Your card is beautiful Dawn - I am so glad no one was hurt - so much damage but you are creating a whole new landscape!

Your card is so lovely all of that white on white texture and the gold. Stunning! And wowie that was rough with the trees but you did a great job cleaning everything up. (Being on the 18th floor in an 800 sq foot condo makes that look even more like Paradise. We're blessed to have the community garden but the tomboy farm girl in me sure misses sitting under trees at home! Though a safe home-sweet-condo is so very lucky when you think about all the craziness in the world). Blessed, no doubt about it! Happy Weekend xo
