Old man winter just won’t go to sleep! Blustery, cold, snowy day today! Brrrrrrr!!
Last weekend we were down in Cincinnati and the Pussy Willows were just barely peeking out of the buds!
I did the sketch today on Splitcoast, a simply done card really except for the fussy cutting!
And.. I used Pearl Ex… wow, it’s been a long time! Are you like me and have bins full of product that you just had to have but hardly use? C’mon…you know you are! LOL!
Anyhoo, I wanted a subtle background and love stamping with Versamark embossing ink to give that watermark look, the Pearl Ex was just the boost it needed!
I stamped ODBD Gingham Background and Pussy Willow Background then brushed on Interference Blue PE.
It’s hard to photo the shimmer it gives!
Then I stamped Happy Spring in Espresso and colored with Copics. It really isn’t all that hard to cut out with good, sharp scissors and a craft knife!
My Spellbinders today are Fleur de Lis Rectangles and Lattice Rectangles.
Hope I’ve inspired you to dig out some of those old ‘had to have’ items and USE them!
Thanks for stopping!
Dawn
