A Sketch… and a Pop-Up!

Sharing Your Sorrow, Flowering Faith, Hydrangea, 2 Step Butterfly

What a fun card I made today! Taking several challenges and rolling them all up in one!

This is the Mojo Monday 249 sketch

Flowering Faith

I randomly stamped ODBD Flowering Faith over Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles. I inked up the image with Distress Bundled Sage and lightly rubbed off the ink from the flowers, stamped and colored with a Copic marker. Then sponged the edges with more Bundled Sage.
The sentiment is just part of a verse from the set, it looks black but it’s stamped in Forest Moss and clear embossed.

The DP is Prima Botanical.

The Technique today on Splitcoast is using the tutorial posted last week on SCS, Pedestal Pop-Up Card. FUN!

I used ODBD Hydrangea, 2 Step Butterfly with matching Butterfly 2 Die, and Sharing Your Sorrow. Dies used are Spellbinders Moroccan Motifs and Romantic Rectangles. I resized the one to fit the small sentiment by first cutting the original size, then sliding the paper down just a little, lining up the edges until it fit the sentiment and cut again.

Colored with Copics and sponged with Distress inks Bundled Sage and Faded Jeans. The base of the Butterfly was inked with Tattered Rose/Forest Moss, then the outline was inked with Onyx Black.

The Hydrangea was stamped in Forest Moss and clear embossed before coloring.

Everything folds up nice and neat inside!

This is how it looks before it is fully open. It needs to lie flat for the best view.

Here is the link for the tutorial in case you missed it at the beginning of the post.

I hope I’ve inspired you to try something different today!

Thanks for stopping!!
