Our Flower Soft theme this week is to use create a border (or use a border punch) and Sweet Pea and/or Ultra Fine Sage.
don’t forget, right clicking on a picture will bring it up larger in another window for better viewing =)
I’m waiting on a ‘grass’ die I ordered to arrive….so until then I had to get creative! I used my Martha drippy punch and turned it upside-down!
I used Sweet Pea, I think my favorite of the blends!
This is Our Daily Bread designs The Light of Life and Flourished Verses.
Colored with Copics, Spellbinders Labels 18 and Grommet Tags, brads were silver but I added some color with a Copic. Sentiment was sponged while still in the die. I stamped a second lantern and popped it up.
The Sizzix wood grain embossing folder is sponged with several Distress inks.
Now, for those of you that aren’t confident of you coloring skills… this image works great NOT colored!
The Technique today on Splitcoast is to use one color ink and NOT to color!
See what I mean?! Easy peasy and still beautiful!
I inked (Adirondack Espresso) up my image and stamped off on a scrap (to lighten my ink) then stamped again on my cardstock. The sentiment is full strength, lol.
I used Spellbinders Lattice Pendant and Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish. I cut the flourish apart to better fit the pendant and popped some paper flowers on top!
Hope I’ve inspired you to try something a little different!
Thanks for stopping!!

beautiful either way
wow Wow WOW! I love your flowersoft garden. It just comes to life. And the lantern is stunning coloured or uncoloured. They're both so beautiful they make me want to take a walk in the fields.
Whilst they are both beautiful, I have to say that colouring is definitely your forte. Love the Flower Soft!
