No Coloring Required!

TLC364 blk

A little twist on the technique challenge from Splitcoast… it was actually using Distress ink pads on a craft sheet (or something similar), spritzing with water, which makes the ink bead up, and then dragging your cardstock or tag through it. It gives some beautiful backgrounds!!

There is a good tutorial here.

I don’t know what I was thinking, when I got upstairs, instead of grabbing my Distress pads and dragging them on the craft sheet, I dropped several drops of reinkers, spritzed them and drug the tag through!

This gave it a more bolder look rather than the muted colors. I still love how it turned out! And it’s such a perfect technique for this type of image, especially if you don’t have the confidence to color it!

TLC364 Deep As The Ocean

This is Our Daily Bread designs The Mighty Sea.
You can see I inked up the one side several times and stamped to carry the image to the end of the tag. I did add a little white gel pen to the white caps too.

I hope I’ve inspired you to give this a try… it works with so many stamps, not just scenes, it’s a beautiful background for just a verse too.

So, after thinking about it… I had to do another one, THIS time with the correct way to do the technique! Again, so simple…..try it!

This time I added It Is Well With My Soul and a quote from The Sea.
