Ugh! I’m tired of rain! It’s grey and gloomy out today, so when I saw the Inspiration challenge on Splitcoast and looked at what Stef gave us, Cath Kidston… I knew just what I wanted to do!
The site is full of florals and polka dots! Polka dots was also a challenge this week, so I lucked out!!
I used the new releases from Our Daily Bread designs, Tulip Corner, Daffodil Corner and Eternity. I stamped the daffodils first, then added the cut apart tulips, tucking them in here and there to make it look more like a bouquet.
I just love this quote…we’d all be a blessing and be blessed so much if we’d abide by it!
It’s colored with Copics (of course.. you knew that right?!), the embossing frame is a Quickutz and it’s sponged with Distess Tumbled Glass and Broken China. To get the partial frame (an experiment really!), I just went part way into the Cuttlebug… lucky me.. it worked the first time!
The dots were made with my Elmer’s Paint pen.
You can see where I took my craft knife and cut around some of the petals to slide the tulips and leaves in.
I don’t know if you can see or not, but it’s spritzed with Pearl Glimmer Mist too.
Well, I hope the weather is better where you live! I’m sure the llamas have sprouted webbed feet by now!!
Thanks for stopping!
Dawn
