Parties and Inspiration

Chris blk

Tis a weekend of parties!
Last night was a cookie party…hundreds of yummy cookies!
I took a few pictures around the house as our hostess had everything so festive!

I’m also at the end of my Christmas card making! 99% have been sent out, just a few stragglers left…I’ll get those done and sent off Monday! This one done for the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast. This was my inspiration.

Ornaments from Our Daily Bread designs and the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament die.

Chris

Stamped in Adirondack Cranberry and colored with Copics. Then, using my Versamarker and clear EP, I embossed the poinsettia and holly and sponged with Distress ink while the ornament was still in the die. I traced around the die on another piece of cardstock for my matt and colored the edge with a Copic to match the flower. I just love that Basic Grey Jovial DP!

I embossed the sentiment from Luke 2:11, also from Our Daily Bread designs, by first inking it with Versamark then Cranberry.
I’ve had several inquire about why/how the Versamark and Cranberry…. The Cranberry is a dye ink and will not stay wet long enough to hold the embossing powder and heat set. If you ink your image FIRST in Versamark then directly in your dye ink, you virtually have any color embossed image under the sun! (if you ink your color first then embossing ink, your pad will get nasty! lol)

Now, today is spinning guild and a Christmas party tonight! And snow in the forecast!! Woohoo!!

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping!

Dawn

A stunning 'last' card to be sure, Dawn! I love the way you did the punched edge and of course the fab paper. The extra pics are great. Can you tell me why you stamped the sentiment first in VersaMark and then Cranberry? Thanks so much.

And I enjoyed looking at the extra pics.

I love this card! I am also wondering about the VersaMark and then the Cranberry, too. It is a lovely card, and I love the sentiment on the bottom.

Your photography is incredible, Dawn! Your photos are amazing! They aren't even blurry with the lights shining.
