Now, here are my projects

CandyJar

This is from the Ornaments set….gasp…so gorgeous!

Did you know…Our Daily Bread designs is so proud and pleased to be chosen by the Spellbinders company as a Preferred Stamp Partner.  Our partnership with Spellbinders will be a blessing to the stamping community as well, as we expand our line to include  perfect match sentiments, Scriptures and images to Spellbinders products.  We look forward to a long and blessed partnership with such a fine product as Spellbinders.

This was made stamping the large ornament 4x (just to make sure… you could easily stamp it twice and still get your die cuts), colored with Copics, die cut with Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments, cut close to the edge of each (but the largest) ornament, cut a mat for each and adhered to the ornament, sponged with Distress ink then did Cracked Glass technique.

CandyJar clsup

Lots of dimensionals and glue dots hold everything together!

******************************

Goodwill and Joy

I also wanted to show off the beautiful sentiment set too… Christmas Blessings. Stamped and die cut using Spellbinders Labels 10 then sponged with Distress inks.

Goodwill and Joy side

I stamped the smaller ornament on Basic Grey Jovial, and trimmed close to the edges. I just used my Spica gold glitter gel pen for a few accents, then mounted it on the gold die cut and added embroidery floss and beads.

Goodwill and Joy beads

Well, it’s my duty to
send you back
to the ODBD Blog,
don’t forget to leave your comment
and answer the question!

good luck!

Thanks for stopping!

Absolutely lovely!! My favorite Christmas memory is when my Momma and Daddy and I would drive home to Tennessee from Chicago to spend Christmas at my Granny's house. I can still feel the love, hear the laughter and smell the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen. All are in heaven now, but I know I'll be with them alot longer than I'll be without them.

Deb said...

Wow - that's all I can say. Beautiful project. My greatest Christmas Memory is the first Christmas without my Mother. I was only 6 years old. With Mom dying in November and Christmas being the next month, sure we were sad, but my Dad, being the father that he was, did all he could do to make sure his 4 girls were happy. We didn't have a lot of money, but that's not what Christmas is all about. All we wanted for Christmas was the doll house fully furnished, that we saw in the Sears Catalog and Only the doll house and we had to share it, but my sisters and I to this day (now 50 years ago) remember how special that Christmas was.

Kathryn said...

Wonderful coloring and layering on the ornament. Your whole project is simply so elegant!

Hello Dawn: I love your idea of using multiple dies from the Spellbinders set on the same stamped image, even though the image is not created for all of them. It works well! Thank you for the inspiration! Marie

Kris said...

Gasp...it IS gorgeous! Purple is not a color I would normally use but I'm going to have to change my tune after seeing your ornament. Beautiful! My favorite Christmas memory is opening up gifts late Christmas Eve and then jumping into the car Christmas morning for the long trip to Grandma's house...loved her to pieces and those are precious memories.

Such a pretty designs!
My favourite Christmas memory ...difficult question as many to choose from. One favourite, my Dad set up the card table in front of our beautifully decorated Christmas tree, and we had homemade meat pie followed by Christmas pudding or cookies (cookies were my choice as I don't like pudding). After, we would head off to church for the service where many Christmas hymns were sung -- my favourite, Silent Night.

Oh, Dawn, Please don't send me back to the blog...I am loving everything I am seeing here. I must say that 1st ornament with...with...just everything...it is BREATH-TAKING! I love the colors you chose...and the depth that you see in the ornament. Imagine cutting everything by hand! HUH! The SpellBinders connection is such a blessing, and put that with your cracked glass technique, your amazing colors in both projects, the leaves and other embellishments on the 1st one...all amazing!

I like the sentiment in the 2nd project a lot. Who wouldn't?? I think it is amazing. The colors are so rich and elegant. It makes me thing of the Kings...and rich fabric!

And, I am so over-stimunlated, I can't tell if there was a dangling 3rd project! I really am in overwhelm with excitment!

Great job!
