Our Sassy Challenge is Thankful…
I’m thankful for many things,
probably too many to list in a blog post!
Join us this week. Just make sure you use an image from Sassy Cheryl's, post to your blog (or online gallery at PCP, SNR, SCS, etc), then link that post back here using Mr. Linky.
In addition to our regular $5 gift certificate, Cheryl is offering some of her darling licensed ceramic pieces as special gifts over the next several weeks.
Isn’t it CUTE!!
I called this one “Thankful For You”.
This is Simple Prayer, isn’t she sweet! I love that quote by Eleanor Roosevelt…perfect with the digi and our challenge! She’s colored with Prismacolor pencils blended with baby oil and paper pieced with DCWV Amber Autumn.
I made the teeny ribbon strips out of a scrap of paper, colored with a Copic and tied a teensy bow! The quote is hanging from a “faux” brad. Three layers of scrap cs glued together and colored with a black marker, punched with my Cropadile…then just a little white gel pen.

Cheryl just had to tempt me
with those plates sold at Hobby Lobby!

Well, guess who went yesterday?!
Yup!
And guess what…this week their ceramic ware is 50% off!!
Woohoo!
How FUN!
I almost got the really cool platter too, but it had a little chip on the edge.
haha..see how self conscious I was? I didn’t even move the cart with my purse out of the way for the pic!
So, this is what I got!! That mug is huge! Mmmm, can’t wait to sip some Spiced Pumpkin Cappuccino, Chai or just coffee!
Do I have a cool job or what!! (lol…I call it a job, )
I did feel like a goober though… Cheryl’s display was smack dab, first one in the aisle and it was busy at Hobby Lobby! So, there I am, with my phone trying to take pics of myself with the display! HAHA! I was waiting for some code over the PA system… Security To Snowman Display!!

Firstly, I adore that card and that little bow on her dress. How stinking adorable is that! The quote is priceless. Smart woman!
Now. . . your trip to HL is a fun story. Glad you didn't get arrested by the snowman police! :) I would've paid big money to see you in the store. That's hilarious! Thanks for sharing your finds. Looks like you had a great time!
a wonderful card.....so cute. I love the bow.. Never think of making one from paper... No Hobby Lobby here....sure wish there was
Hi Dawn.. your card is just precious for sure...
one more image I thought I might not use.. now have to go shopping myself... :0 and thats always a fun thing!
Now onto the Cheryl Ceramics..
I have been online every day this week and last trying to online shop for some of these fantastic snowmen ceramics..
their online site doesn't show any of them...
and no hobby lobbys in Washington...
I did hear that they are putting one in Olympia and Kennowick, but nothing close to me...
only time to get to those places is in the summer on vacation or something.. and no christmas stuff then.. hee.
I love huge mugs.. all the more yummy coffee at one time:)
you go girl...
Hugs to ya
Judy
How adorable! Love the picture of you and the Cheryl's ceramics...too bad there aren't any HL in our area. My mum loves all things snowman related, she would flip over Cheryl's ceramics.
Lovin' the Hobby Lobby pics!!! You are too cute. My Hobby Lobby is 45 minutes away so I have to plan a trip before all the good stuff is gone. Lol Your card is adorable! Great paper piecing and the sentiment in the frame is too clever. Happy Thanksgiving ~jeni ♥
I LOVE your card and sentiment Dawn and lucky you, we dont have a Hobby Lobby over here in Ireland :(
Oh i wish we had a HL love the pic of you and the snowmen.
Your card is so adorable and cozy looking :) I want to try that blending colored pencils with baby oil..your little bear looks so fuzzy! Cute, Cute, Cute! Kathy
Naturally, your card is fabulous-always is. Your post just tickles me! Love that you took the pics and love the note---don't know how you did that, but way cool!
such a sweet thank you card-and the sentiment is so perfect-cheryl's ceramic pieces are so precious-funny hl story as well
Dawn, what a darling card, love the paper piecing and all the detail you always include!!! I also have 2 HL's in town but have only been to one but for some reason that store doesn't have them on sale :( Happy Thanksgiving GF!!!
Hi Dawn~
First of all, I love your Simple Prayer card! That is wonderful! I don't know how you tied that teeny-tiny bow! (Maybe it would work with chopsticks???) It is an adorable and lovely card. I think it would be great framed in a guest room!
I want a Hobby Lobby in Central FL! They aren't in FL anywhere, we don't have ACMoore, either.
The best use for that huge oversized mug is...
ice cream! Every night we have our icecream in huge mugs! That is a great set! Cute pic! It would be a blast to go shopping with you! That should be a give-away some time! It'd be a blast!

Oh gosh those are super cool items!! I wish we had a HL here!! I think I would buy one of each!
How awesome!!
Hugs
Jodi =)
