Sassy Flowers & Jbelle Tuesday!

Making our own flowers...that's our Sassy Cheryl's Challenge for today! You should play along with us...just use a Sassy Cheryl's digi and link to the challenge blog. You could win a $5 gift certificate ya know!

I used Triple Star Bear and colored her with Copics. I sponged the edges with Distress inks. The stars have Sakura glitter pen on them and she has a few white gel pen accents.

That sweet paper is My Mind's Eye from Jacksonbelle Embellishments. Don't forget, Jbelle is closing her virtual doors and right now everything....EVERYTHING is 50% off!

I used these 3 Spellbinders dies for my flower, one piece each. This is the flip side of the plaid.
*cheater tip* I cut the "flower" out of the plaid layer..the Top Note layer hides the holes and saves cutting into another piece of paper! 
I cut a wedge out of each of the 3 pieces, sponged the edges with Distress ink, then snipped down between scallops. (I thought of taking the picture AFTER they were glued together! duh..., but you'll get the idea). I snipped off the pointy bottoms too, and curled the petals with my fingernail.
The cut out wedges end up being the flower center.
Just nest the layers, largest to smallest, gluing as you go along.

I added some Martha Stewart punched leaves that I ran through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder...just because.
