Since we are celebrating the Anniversary of Our Daily Bread designs, we will be focusing on gifts for Anniversaries. Cotton is the traditional gift for the second anniversary. Today’s challenge will be to use Cotton in some way…. stamp on cotton, use cotton ribbon, make a cotton flower… get creative.
As with all the challenges this week… this challenge was announced on Mar. 7th here on the ODBD blog so you could get a head start, and we hope you have the chance to play along with us, you have until 8:00 pm EST tonight to link your creation to Mr Linky on the ODBD blog! The only stipulation is that it must be new work, no back links please! The winner will be chosen by random and will receive a $15.00 Gift Certificate for stamps from the ODBD Store! The winner will be announced on the ODBD Blog post tomorrow when the next challenge is issued!
Now, here's my project... The keyword is ODBD2AC1
This is one of those $1 wooden frames, and you'll never guess what I used for my Cotton! Give up? It's my old clothespin bag! I just couldn't throw it away...one of those "it might come in handy for something"! And it did! I cut out the center with my square Spellbinders and stamped the verse from Easter Blessings on that piece. Then I stamped, masked and colored (Copics) the daffodils from Happy Easter. On another piece of the cotton, I stamped and colored (Copics) the Chickadee from You Will Find Refuge. I glued the cotton to a piece of cardstock for support and cut it out. The flowers are 4 sizes of the large scalloped rectangles Spellbinders, put together, gathered and "shaped" into a flower. In the name plate is just the word from Happy Easter stamped on cotton, glued to cardstock.
Please be sure to visit all the blogs linked below, and leave a comment for each designer, because there is hidden candy on some of the blogs! You will not know where it is, but if your name is chosen and you have left a comment for the designers… you will win it!!! You won’t know how many have candy each day… so be sure to visit them all and leave some love!
Winners of the individual blog candy will be announced by the blog owners who had the candy on the next day on their blogs. There will also be a big announcement on March 19th on the ODBD Blog recapping ALL the winners… the challenges, the blog candy, and the blog hop winners! So be sure to check back there then!!!
